Ecclesiastes 7:13-14...
"Consider what God has done:
Who can straighten what he has made crooked?
When times are good, be happy
but when times are bad, consider
God has made the one as well as the other.
Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future."
Last week I learned that the brother of one of my best friends from high school had lukemia...
I just found out that he died on Monday. I remember so many times going over to Errol's house to play basketball or lift weights with him and his now deceased brother, J.D. I do not know if he believed/followed Christ. What I do know is that this will be an extremely difficult time in Errol's life. I'm so thankful that God can work anything for good. This is one of those situations in which it is hard to see any good. However, I know that my slow, short-term perspective is absolutely worthless in situations like these. I just have to keep reminding myself that the Prince of Peace is always available to bring love and comfort into the lives of all people.
...Pray that someone will enter the lives of the Johnsons in Charleston, Illinois who can exhibit Christ's fierce love and amazing grace
