So I was talking to my good friend today about the amount of stuff I have. I think I have too much stuff. Ok ok...I know that I have way too much stuff. I honestly would LOVE to narrow down the amount of stuff I have into a bookbag and a suitcase. I think it could be an amazing way to live. Just think---I would never have to worry about moving from one place to the next. I could simply get up and go, no matter where I was. I could live simply and plainly. I would love to become plain--to become boring. I would love to remove all the stuff that supposedly brings "excitement" to life. Some stuff could stay...my guitar should definitely stay. I guess that would be my bookbag. I know that I could live without my tv or this laptop. I could try to live without my 25 disc cd changer, receiver, and the 5 speakers I have for it. Perhaps I could even live without my golf clubs and tennis racquets...wow that would be hard...
I think that I'd probably cry.
...I know I know...I'm weak...I probably couldn't do it.
...sigh.
I dunno. I think I'm just lazy. I'm having to move stuff between two places right now and it has been a bit of a pain. I really haven't had much time to pack up anything yet. So I'm just a little stressed out. However, I know it will get done. I just get too worked up about stuff. I'm moving out of Tad's place (he'll be back on friday), and into...somewhere. To be quite honest, I did not plan ahead at all for the next two weeks. I just kind of hoped that I would be able to bum at someone's place. I figured if that didn't work, I could always just sleep in my truck. I feel like a bit of a hobo right now. However, (as always) I have been blessed with a place to stay. John Kelly has been generous enough to open up his home to me for a few days. After that, my good friend TJ will be taking the bedroom in which I am sleeping, and I will probably sleep on the couch in the place where he used to live. Needless to say, I have amazing, generous friends.
In other news...
Erin Turner is coming back!!!! Woot!!! She is very very cool and I would recommend getting to know her if you don't already. I've been brainstorming w/ a friend and am thinking about throwing some sort of party for her. I don't think she knows my blog, so the party still has the potential to be a surprise. Any ideas? I'm not very creative. All I know is that I'm looking forward to seeing her after the nine week Russia thing. She is a good friend and an excellent example of Christ's love. Can't wait to see her....
Oh yeah...and it might be nice to see Wallace as well ;)
Tad too...except I don't really know Tad. I only know his house. But he can come too :)
Answered prayer: two week Russia people are back and are ON FIRE
Prayer request: 9 week Russia people -- safe travel now that they're in the states.
Have a great day guys
