I have a home!
That's right, folks, I have a home. Marigold 1 is my new place of residence. Brad Buckingham and I are the only ones in here so far. But it has been awesome. Tuesday night was awesome...and we officially broke it in with the Wednesday night Bible study. I think we may have broken the rules for the "party policy" thing because there were a lot of people around. It was a delicious meal: beer brats on the grill...homemade salsa made only from vegetables off of the grill(yum!)...an amazing caesar salad(good work, John and Nanette!)...and tortilla chips.
It was DELICIOUS. TJ and I started the grilling of the vegetables at around 5:20, and the whole cooking thing didn't get done until, like, 7:30. It was awesome. The food was amazing and the cleanup crew was awesome. The fellowship was ridiculously sweet. Most importantly---my kitchen is ORGANIZED! Woot!!
So yes...go girls---way to take care of me and Brad!
I've been thinking a lot lately about how stressful it must be for my parents right now. Relatives, mission groups....children...house...and everything else. Been prayin for you guys if you're reading this...
I've actually been thinking a lot about parents, in general. Specifically, "our Father, who art in heaven...." There are so many times when I only think about God as the creator of this beautiful earth and as an awesome, huge being. However, He is so much more than that! He is our Father. I almost forgot why He loves me! He loves me because I am one of His. And that love will never change. No matter what I do, He will always love me. I see glimpses of that in my earthly parents, in how they have always loved me even when I screw up. I know that I have great parents, and I miss them dearly. But their example was/is absolutely nothing in comparison to the fierce love of our Holy Father. He loves us so much. We are His children...His creation. All He wants us to do is crawl up in His lap and love Him too.
"Hush little baby, don't say a word
Daddy's gone and bought you a great, big heaven to rest in
He has bought it with blood, and put the seal in your heart
It'll give you the hope you need to get up and start again"
Have a great night guys
-Dave

...but the question is: Is the kitchen STILL organized? ;)
You still are kind of a hobo, but that has to do more with personality than living situation...
Just kidding!!!
Hey, since you're all moved in, you'll be available on Friday the 19th to help out small girls who have to move things into their new apartments, right? If so, then maybe we can hang out sometime, but not all the time because unfortunately the world isn't yours. ;)
Have a great day!
